A fagoted seam is a decorative seam that joins two pieces of fabric with a space between them to allow a row of decorative stitches. It is a very pretty detail and easy to incorporate into any pattern. You will be creating a simple Hobo Bag that includes a zipper closer and lining.

Bernina Project Workshop is designed for you to try out the special techniques and feet accessories that are featured in the Virtual Bernina Club. You will be creating a sample of each technique during class. No need to bring a sewing machine or supplies, we will take care of that. Just bring yourself and a notebook. You will leave with not only great samples but also a free CD with all the directions for that months featured project.
August Workshop: Could it be Vera? Create the quilted bag wardrobe of your dreams with your hand-picked fabric choices. Incorporate your favorite quilting techniques to create a quilted bag ensemble resembling those popular boutique styles.

September: Embroider on Photographs - Use transfer Photo techniques to transfer your photos to fabric and use your software to create breathtaking embellished “photo applique”. Explore collage techniques, and use Corel PhotoPaint to apply photo effects. Then applique and create embroidered texture on your transferred photo.
